The stories you published are pretty good (even if I find the sub-titles or not sure what they're meant to be to be more distracting than anything), but this one... ending with the MC's death makes it all a bummer rather than anything. I do commend you for attepting something unnusual, and the stories connecting like that is rewarding if one read everything.

@[BobbyBlobfish](/user/show/700733) They're meant to be scene/chapter markers. I started doing them around that time. Unfortunately, I like them, so I will continue using that formatting. In my heart, the villain MC would have won in this story because that's where my proclivities usually align. But I was trying to challenge myself at that time and write against my instinct, and I was self-conscious how it would look to always have the villain winning/heroes losing in my stories.
