Yeah, LongtimeFan, I'd consider all the stories you mentioned to be horror, at least in a sense. They're a little like Lovecraft in the way that the antagonist is a powerful, impersonal force whose motives aren't entirely clear. Also, all of my stories deal with the erasure of personality--that's why dialogue tends to be so important in my stories, since that's where the characters' original personalities come through and how we can witness the "death" of those personalities over the course of the story. I think there's also a lot of humor and irony going on in my stories, but if I had to pick one label for them, I would term them "erotic horror."

I agree with the above commenter. It's interesting to consider your work as horror stories, Hypnothrill--it makes sense for the alien/parasite tales, but do you consider things like Hardbodies, Musclehead, and the bathhouse series horror as well? I can see how they could be--losing identity to some brainwashing outer force...

I haven't ever commented here but you're doing well. A new story a day is sometimes a tall order. If you're getting comments on your editing a few hopefully helpful tips. Easiest one is set it down, do your first check. Come back the next day for a re-read. Read it backwards, it forces you to focus on each sentence. Read it out loud (heh, I claim no responsibility for doing so lol). And print it, grab a red pen and mark through every single word one by one deliberately. And of course someone with a fresh pair of eyes is always handy if you have that luxury. As for "is this the middle" - nyeh, it is your story. Craft it as you want. Everyone has a preference, some people like slow build ups. Some like quick and dirty. I'm not saying ignore your readers, just know what you want to make. (Ex. Star Wars we got 4 5 6.. And many years later we got 1 2 3) If you are intent on a story a day get a work flow that works for you, where say, you have one in editing, one newly written and one ready for final review. Only reason I am suggesting that level of intensity is the patron link. If you're writing for the fun of it then I'd say just take your time and enjoy! Hope it helps.

It's refreshing to read a story that had such a build up that you want to read more. Keep writing. I can't wait for the next chapter.

Another great start to another great story. Want his transformation to be a slow one,and one he is aware of. Like why is he smoking big maduros, and getting hard and horny when he does

The big question for me is why his father wants to turn him into this?
