The next chapter! How I have been waiting for this! I gotta admit, I was getting worried when this chapter would come. Then I saw the word count and then I understood. Its impressive you when complete a chapter of this size. And a new record in a way. Your large ones like this are usually endings. Also, I apologize. I realized that in the comments from the last chapter I failed to read the hint about Violet. Speaking of him, he was always that self-righteous and arrogant asshole. Which was the point. But it wasn't until this chapter he strikes me as one of this smug know-it-alls that some anime have. And it feels so sweet to see them get the beat down they deserve. While I can't deny his value to Hank and to the story, I can't help but wonder if he really deserves this 'second chance' to learn. But I guess I will see later just how humbled he is... Yet he did say something that stuck with me, '_But now I can have that too! I am FREE! Free to enjoy without shame,… so long as my master guides me_!' Ain't this true for us in the 'real' world? It can be difficult to break out of your shell when societal culture can impose self imposed limits as one keeps enforcing the other... This chapter also brought up another question. How will Hank distinguish between his slaves moving forward? Meaning, he solely labels Gold as his hero in practice, and Red (and now Violet) are his..._dogs_? He calls them all 'good boys' and 'slaves' so its more of a question of role I'm curious about. Will Hank still use Red and Violet as heroes on the field; or just Gold? As for the rooftop fight, that was thrilling! Blue put up quite the act to look like the bad guy. I was partly wanting him to get be successful in getting to one of the heroes. If just to covertly relay that he was alright. And I gotta admit, I was really hoping it would have been Freedom. With only his mouth exposed, it would have been _Gold_ if Nick landed a kiss as a means of contact on so many levels! Holding Freedom's head tight in his hands. Perhaps evening giving his rump a good squeeze to bring back old memories. And everyone is watching. Yet, I can't help but shake off that Henry's interference is going to bit them in the preverbal ass so to speak.

@[Marik29](/user/show/10021139) It's always a interesting pleasure to see what your thoughts are on each chapter, especially when you have so many! XD So, you touch on a point about how Hank has established **Gold** as being 'his Hero', yet the other two are his pups. The distinction is both important and negligible at the same time. Rick, as **Gold**, is the core of Hank's plans and his position as a HERO is his primary duty and designation. On the other hand, Red and Violet were both coincidental acquisitions by Hank; far from unwanted, and yet not planned for. Hank may have guided Red towards his new 'role' as his pet, but Violet initiated his own transition to a 'pup' like Red. Both Red and Violet are expected and required to serve Hank with all their powers in order to deal with the threat of **H-3**, but their roles after the conflict would be eased back to supporting Hero **Gold**. And, yeah, with the rooftop fight I _did_ want to have Nick catch Carl, but I quickly swung around to the way things ended up. Henry tripping Nick up and letting him get captured opens up a host of options going forward and it's something born of his desire to get Nick away from Kurt and any other reminders of what he has been put through. We'll see how that plays out next time ;) Thanks again! :D

I love this story and I've only seen part 1 because I see you've released a part 2, which I'll be promptly reading. Your writing is so good and you've set the scene so well - I feel like I've gotten a cultural education. Excited to see your other stories!
