## Technical problems If you see errors or dropouts on the site (like "too many redirects"), you need to clear the site cache (or the whole browser cache). I'm sorry about this; I'm currently working on some internal changes. I didn't expect this to happen, but I can't do anything on my side to make this disappear. Clearing the browser cache is the only option. But I made some changes that should help ensure this never happens again. Hopefully. # :bowing_man: Sorry!

## That's it... We're now finally free of the hypocrites that call themselves "Stripe" (yeah, I'd like to see the positive side ... ;) ) All still active subscribers should have received an email telling them that their subscription has been canceled, but that their benefits will remain intact for at least 2 months longer than they've paid for. ## The future of this site As you probably already know, our payment processor for the sponsorships (Stripe) is canceling our account, because they have decided not to finance any kind of adult content. **First: Don't worry: We won't go away!** For now, I've disabled the function to start new sponsorship subscriptions. I've also added code that allows us to track existing sponsorships correctly, even after we're cut off from Stripe. So existing sponsors won't lose anything; they will continue to enjoy their bonuses as usual. We're looking for new options for financing the websites. We're not in any immediate danger of running out of money, though. They won't get rid of us that easily! Kinky Gay Sex will prevail! ### Servers under attack We're currently experiencing heavy attacks from rotating IP addresses, bypassing all our defenses. We've added additional protection to mitigate the attacks. The effect for the end users might be that the search function doesn't work as reliably as usual; you might see error messages or even a "429" error reported by the browser. We're very sorry for that, but this is still better than the servers crashing repeatedly. I hope that attacks will subside eventually.

## New Feature: Recommended Series! A couple of days ago, Mafisto suggested a feature that sounds rather obvious, yet no one ever came up with it: The site could create a list of series which a user might like, too, based on what they've read, liked and favorited in the past! I was immediately fascinated by that idea, and got to work. And I hope you like [the result](https://forum.gaykinkystories.com/t/automatic-recommendations/11398)! ### Welcome Mafisto Mafisto has been a very active member for a long time already. Lately, he's joined the approvers team and taken on the additional role to check stories for their likelihood to be AI-generated. He’s also getting set up to give me a hand on the technical side of things. I've now officially appointed him as 'Administrative Assistant & AI Coordinator', which of course comes with extended access rights but also more duties :) So please welcome Mafisto to the team!

## Performance issues It looks like we're affected by issues Amazon (AWS) is currently facing, which makes it impossible to send any emails and causes serious performance issues and errors on our site as well. #### Colours indicating story length have changed! 🌈 For a long time, stories of increasing length have been indicated by a gradient of increasingly ‘alarming’ colours—orange and then red. We’re currently trying out a new gradient where increasingly long stories are indicated by increasingly dark blue.
